I want to talk about the health problem that students are having now, with some possible solutions. In my country students usually don’t have enough exercise because they have to spend more time studying. At the same time, they have to take an exam every time when they are going to graduate, and the result is even connected with their final grade. The main problem is that most of the people don’t know the importance of exercise and they don’t have time to exercise.

I’m in the group with Ori. In our post, we both talked about how is the author been racially discriminated. We talked about how he lived with his siblings, without a father. And his life is so hard that he can’t even get enough food. And once when there is an active to pledge money in the chest. Everyone else got some money from him, except him. However, he still collected a lot of money, which is way more than others’. But his teacher refused to take it and told everyone else he doesn’t have a father. That’s a huge shame and he still remembers it well until now.

In my opinion, one of the most influential events in my country was the Destruction of opium at Humen. Began from 1800, selling drugs in China became illegal. However, there were still a lot of smugglers trying to sell drugs to China. Finally in 1839, after collecting drugs from all over the country, Lin Ze Xu and his group transport to Chuanbi Island, which is close to the Shajiao Fort outside  Humen Town. After encircling the site with a bamboo fence to prevent theft, three stone pits, lined with wood, were dug into which was poured the seized opium along with lime and salt. The residue was then flushed through a channel into the South China Sea. The work commenced on 3 June 1839 and took a total of 23 days. This event lay the foundation for preventing drugs in China. It also triggers the first world war.

Assertive individuals tend to feel more in control of their lives, derive more satisfaction from their relationships and achieve their goals more often. I read about Abby’s response. We both talked about the importance of being prepared for your speech. For example, you have to know what you want to inform your audience. Do you want to make them act or do you want to share some ideas. Then you have to know how to present your speech. For example, what kind of material or video you have to prepare before the speech. During the speech, you have to take some action in order to inform your audience that this part is very important. For example, sometimes you have to use gestures or a strong tone to grab audiences’ attention. Then you can finally build your argument easily.

I’m with Aditya Kumar and Jie Shi. We talked about how important it is to have a strong introduction to the topic. The authors give a powerful introduction with a lot of details. Sometimes they also show pictures or videos, which gives a lot of important information to the audience and grabs their attention.

I read about Feng Lin’s response. I’m with Aditya Kumar as well but he doesn’t have his response right now as we already know. Sadly we don’t have experience of Multiethnic. We both talked about how people discriminate against others and how people tried to get into a community. At the same time, if people tried too hard to fit into a community, they can end up been discriminated against by both sides.

The one I read is from Zhiheng Wang and we both talked about the idea of working hard. That’s a very general idea in China and we can see how this influenced characters in the text. Maria Romero has two jobs while keep going to college. Gonzalez gets up very early in order to make money. They are all signs of working hard. At the same time, they still care about their family. It’s a very classic Chinese family.

We also mentioned the phoenix web. In China, it’s normal to beautify everything. It makes things more attractive, and people hope it brings luck. That’s a special culture. That also shows why ” Books don’t always speak the truth.”

I’m with Meijing Zhao and Jie Shi and we mainly talked about why are visual arguments so important to people.one reason is that it’s common to see visual arguments everywhere through screens. Because of the technology, now we have phone, television, and others carrier of pictures like this. Information is easily accessible for us and that’s when people start to build up ethos. If we are receiving the same information everyday, we may believe the idea is true without thinking about it again. More is better, that’s one strategy. And the other one is to use nicely designed picutes to attract people’s mind.

The person I looked at is my high school teacher. The thing she usually posts on social media is about works and pets. Every day she talks about how is her work going on, what problem she met during that day and how did she solve that. She also likes to show what activity she joined and how it went on. After finish talking about these things, she always posts pictures about dogs and talking about how cute are they.

It’s clear what her pathos is. She always talks about her job means that she cares about her work. She wants everyone to know that she puts a lot of effort into her job and she is doing well now. It’s also a way of showing power. For the pet, people who like pets are usually seen as caring and kind. That’s what she wants everyone to know. As more people know that she is a good person, she may have more opportunities for the job and making friends.

Introduce: Shelby County Democratic Party is asking a judge to impose criminal sanctions against two ballot companies.
