My name is Alisha Mwanza. Alisha means protected by Allah, it is a Muslim and Hindu name. My mom named me Alisha because I am her first and only child. Indeed, she had several miscarriages before I actually stuck on and decided I will live until her term.

In other words, I am a survivor.

I don’t have a lot of informations about my family name; Mwanza. I have knowledge that obviously it is African and it is the name of my grandfather.

I have never been ashamed of my name at any moment in my life I have always been very proud of it. However, it sometimes annoys me when the Westerners don’t know how to pronounce my family name.

My name is Alisha Mwanza, I live in the Congo-Kinshasa. I will be majoring in management. I love ballet, music, golf, painting, going out with my friends and food. I speak French, English and Swahili. I am really sociable and I love meeting new people. I hope Rhet110N will help me improve my English writing and open my mind to new ways of thinking.
