Feng and I talked about exactly the same points; the use of the grandmother ” broken English ” that both intrigued us and the fact that she uses words such as ” black community ” or ” black town ” is not really appropriate but since she is first a chinese speaker. I added that her granddaughters were always correcting her when she was making this kind of mistakes and that her granddaughters as well as her daughter and her daughter’s husband were all very ” Americanized “, had forgotten about the Chinese values and traditions and were just all busy making always more money or lost in new technologies and food for the youngers.

Runze and I found a lot of similarities in regards of our works. We both focused on how Visual Rhetoric builds strong arguments based on images or videos. Runze gave examples about how when you see a poster with a slogan, you actually remember it easier and the arguent soak in into your mind faster. I personally gave examples of how you can create visual arguments nowadays throughout beginners’s videos.
