Today in class I read a research article about strength training. The research talks about which way of training can lead to more strength gain between training to failure or don’t train to failure. The topic of the article is “Resistance Training with Repetition to Failure or Not on Muscle Strength and Perceptual Responses”. According to the article, they compare to groups of people who have been training for 8 weeks, one group trained to failure on a weekly basis and the other group doesn’t. (Joao, 2017) Surprisingly, the group who train to failure have less strength gain than the group who don’t train to failure.
