Let’s Make Miso Ramen

Want to learn how to make a delicious bowl of Japanese miso ramen while getting to know members of the USF Center for Asia Pacific Studies community? Please join us for this fun and interactive cooking workshop offered in partnership with Table for Two (TfT), a nonprofit with a social mission to eliminate global hunger and reduce health issues related to unhealthy eating.
Participating in this 1-hour online cooking workshop is easy! We’ll provide the class and community, you provide the ingredients and the appetite. Please see below for the list of ingredients needed so that you’re ready to join along or watch the demonstration by the experts at TfT. Learning about Asian culture and meeting other students who share a similar interest has never been more fun!

Ingredient list for miso ramen:
- 2 hard boiled eggs
- 4 2-inch strips roasted seaweed (nori)
- 2 scallions
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 slices fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 3 tablespoons miso paste
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1/2 pound ground pork (chicken, turkey or beef)
- 8 ounces fresh bean sprouts or 1/4 medium cabbage, chopped
- 1 cup corn kernels
- 4 cups water
- 1 pound fresh or dry ramen noodles
- Salt and pepper to taste
Equipment:
- 4 serving bowls and chopsticks or forks/spoons
- 2 large saucepans
- 1 medium bowl of cold water
