Hi! My name is Anna Chinaza Hughes. I prefer Chinaza or Naz and my pronouns are she/her. This is my first semester and I’m majoring in General Psychology. I was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prince is from Minneapolis (something every Minnesotan probably says) and the winters are very tough. I’m the youngest of 4 and I have 2 brothers and 1 sister. I’ve been writing songs as a hobby/passion since I was 12.
The majority of the writing that I have done has been academic, such as writing essays and papers. I have also written many songs starting at the age of 12. The quality of the songs I’ve written has progressed as I’ve aged. I’ve also dabbled in poetry and story writing. I’ve always been a writer and lover of vocabulary. I think it runs in my family to write, as well as creating art in general.
I enjoy creative writing the most. I have a harder time with academic writing because I struggle with proper formatting and organization. I hope this courses allows my confidence in my academic writing to grow. I want to establish a better understanding of the foundation and formatting of writing a paper. Similar to that I hope to work on my organization skills, as I struggle when deciding where to include what information. I hope my passion for writing contributes to the environment of this class because that is what makes writing fun for me.
