A key idea within Meili Skov’s discussion response was that the essay was centered around Pengfei Song’s upbringing, specifically his education and introduction to English and computers. In my response, I focused more on his experience with technology and computers and juxtaposed it with my experiences as a 21st century college student. Despite mentioning the lack of resources and education available to people in China in my own response, I like how Meili gave a little more context than I did on the subject.
What I learned was more that I should include additional context and perhaps implement quotes into my responses than anything particular about the essay itself. I would also add that this reading response adheres to the guidelines and is a good example to follow in the proceeding assignments.
