Marc Mero in his speech used a lot of pathos to discuss his mom. He describes his mother and how she believed in him and loved him so much and he didn’t appreciate her. This pulls on the heartstrings as he describes that she died suddenly. This also establishes ethos because he lost his mother so he knows what it’s like to not appreciate her while she was here. His whole message is that you should appreciate your mom as she loves you and just wants to see you succeed. Once someone is gone, they are not coming back. Mero didn’t use any stats or figures and such didn’t have many appeals to logos. One thing that was important to note was that the visual aid was very helpful in driving home his point/ moving the story along. The tone of his voice is also a rhetoric strategy as you feel the emotion and hurt he harbors when he sounds as though he is reliving pain and on the verge of crying almost.
