I am going to make a speech about how can people prevent themselves from getting COVID-19. This speech includes strategies of staying away from COVID-19. First, I am going to list some background of COVID-19. Then I will give some strategies to protect people. Some resources are selected from the website of World Health Organization.

The most significant historical event that has positively shaped the future of my country and people was the reform and opening-up policy. Based on this policy, Chinese government allows foreigners to invest Chinese companies, which brings enough resources to develop the economy. The reform and opening-up policy also helps China attend WTO, so China became the biggest factory on the Earth.
One of the reasons I chose the reform and opening-up policy is because this policy changes the city(Shenzhen) I am living in right now. Forty years ago, Shenzhen was just a small village next to Hong Kong. Now, Shenzhen’s GDP is fourth highest in Chinese city.

I read Meijing Zhao’s disscussion. We both chose The Power of Silence to discuss. But Meijing did not discuss it with her own experiences, she shows how effective the presentation is. For the second example, Beijing uses Martin Luther King Jr’s speech. She express how effective the parallelism can be in a presentation. Parallelism can strengthen people’s emotions.
