Come write a letter at the library this Thursday, February 14th! We’ll provide some supplies (paper, pens, stamps, envelopes) and inspiration (books about letter writing, books about famous authors’ correspondence, manuscripts and sonnets on display in the Rare Book Room). Because sometimes an email (to your best friend, grandma, parents, partner) just won’t do…

Colette, What a delightful idea! I love it that we have such
romantic people at our front desk!
Thanks Kathy! I opened one of the books on display to this John Steinbeck letter that I had heard about online — http://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2012/01/john-steinbeck-on-falling-in-love-a-1958-letter/251375/#. It’s pretty great, if a bit outdated in parts. 🙂 So awesome that Gleeson had the book!
Cute!
Thanks, Keisa!! And hello to San Jose Branch! A couple of us here in SF are going to an info lit conference in San Jose in April — we should stop by and say hi!
