Familiar names, a recommendation from the Provost, and one of my favorite book covers recently in new ebooks at Gleeson Library:
Wintering: the power of rest and retreat in difficult times by Katherine May (1 user)
Provost Chinyere Oparah recommended this title in her email to the USF community on November 1, 2021.
“May encourages us to greet our winters, both temporal and metaphorical, as times for hibernating, healing, and resetting. This work, she reminds us, is deeply counter-cultural: ‘Doing these deeply unfashionable things — slowing down, letting your spare time expand, getting enough sleep, resting — is a radical act now, but it is essential.'”
Philosophy in the American West: a geography of thought edited by Josh Hayes, Gerard Kuperus, and Brian Treanor (1 user)
USF faculty contributors:
Flights of fancy: defying gravity by design and evolution by Richard Dawkins (unlimited users)
