The Ignatian Literary Magazine’s Reading and Release Party on December 5th, in the Gleeson Library, was a wonderful celebration of creativity and the hard work of all the students who crafted the Ignatian Volume 36, Issue 1. The students were able to both share and revel in their accomplishments. The event was enjoyed by faculty, staff, and students, friends and family, amongst whom were Ignatian literary magazine alumni and people who were just discovering the Ignatian for the first time.

This literary magazine is produced entirely by the students. The current issue of the Ignatian was curated and edited to contain excellent selections of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction from local USF writers as well as writers from around the world. Each piece was paired with amazing art by a variety of artists.
The co-editors in chief Callan Cimino and Audrey Walker led the celebration and did a marvelous job. They thanked and acknowledged the whole team including the section editors, readers, design, events, and marketing groups. They expressed appreciation to their wonderful faculty advisor, Omar Miranda. Further they offered a special thanks to their advisor Jess Reincke who, graduating with her Masters in Writing from USF, steps away from the Ignatian after this semester. The event also featured an open mic with excellent readers, and cookie decorating!
The Gleeson Library appreciates the opportunity work with the Ignatian students each semester and to highlight and celebrate their accomplishments. The Ignatian is a fabulous literary magazine. Consider submitting your work to this excellent publication.
