Students can visit the Library Help Desk, at the Gleeson Library | Geschke Center, to check out a Mac or Windows laptop! Loaner laptops are available to check out for a 24-hour loan period.
Gleeson loaner laptops have about ten applications installed to help students with their classwork, papers, and research, including the full Microsoft Office suite, Zoom, and LockDown Browser. The Electronic Resources & Systems Department updates the laptops monthly with the latest software and security updates to provide the best protection and the most efficient working systems.
Need help or have any trouble using a loaner laptop? Adjacent to the Library Help Desk is the ITS Help Desk, where you can ask for help with any laptop issue.
Additionally, desktop computers with even more applications are located on the first and second floors of the library.
Faculty and staff who wish to borrow a laptop should review these requirements and contact the ITS Help Desk at itshelp@usfca.edu or (415) 422-6668, or open a self-service ticket through the ITS Support Portal for assistance.
