The Honors College Forum class on “Gender Warriors” collaborated to create an exhibit in the Gleeson Library main lobby that seeks to celebrate a multitude of brave people that challenged societal norms in their time. Step into a showcase of powerful books and bold thinkers. The display features an interactive map that will allow you to discover these Gender Warriors throughout the world and find out their stories. In addition, each student has carefully created a slideshow on a different historical figure to showcase their research and findings!
Please join the Honors College on Friday, May 9th, from 2-4pm for a reception and celebration of “Gender Warriors: Hidden Histories,” in the Thacher Gallery of the Gleeson Library. Talk to the students and hear more about their research.
The exhibit will be visible and open to the public from May 5th-May 20th.
