It has been a long, challenging year, and for many of us in the USF community, our holiday festivities will be different from what we may have hoped for. Additionally, as we head into winter, we could all use a little bit of comfort, celebration, and connection.
This holiday season, Gleeson Library | Geschke Center is launching the Gleeson Greeting project – we’re inviting USF students to have us send a loved one a handwritten card in the mail, on their behalf and at no cost. Through this small-yet-tangible gesture, we hope to foster connections and show care towards others.
Students have the option of choosing one of our pre-written messages, or writing their own – and we have cards appropriate for Finals Week, Winter Commencement, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or just a general note of care.

As part of the Gleeson Greeting project, we will also be sending cards to the Braid Mission Cards of Hope program, which supports Bay Area youth in foster care.
