Gleeson’s Electronic Resources & Systems (ERS) department strives to keep Gleeson’s e-resources fully accessible at all times. We recognize the importance and value of having as near as possible instantaneous access to a wide array of articles, statistical reports, books, and other reference materials. On occasion, however, you may not be able to access a resource, for a number of possible reasons. Whenever you attempt to access an e-resource and something doesn’t seem right, please always reach out to us and let us know using the Report A Problem page.
On our Ask A Librarian page under “Email A Question” is our Report A Problem link:
The Report A Problem link leads to a form with a few questions about the problem you have run into, so we can identify and troubleshoot the problem.
A link to this form is also available within Fusion and our EBSCO databases in the upper right toolbar.
Giving us as much information as possible helps us to hopefully ask fewer follow up questions and diagnose the problem in a quick, efficient manner. Screenshots are especially helpful, if you are able to snap one, so we include an option to attach a file as well. We will look into the situation promptly and respond directly to you within 1-2 business days (Mon-Fri).
For those problems which persist and require further follow up, we post updates on our Systems Status page. A link to this page is found on the library homepage; just scroll down and you’ll see it off to the side.
The Systems Status page always has the latest updates regarding all known current and/or upcoming issues with any of the library’s e-resources. For instance, we post useful information about changes to database content/organization, as well as rarer instances, such as when a specific resource has problems with a specific browser.
Working behind the scenes (or screens, as it were) the ERS dept strives to maintain and support your ongoing research endeavors. Always remember Gleeson’s homepage is your launching point for accessing all of the library’s online resources. Happy Researching!
