On March 21, 2022, the Gleeson Library | Geschke Center co-sponsored with the Office of Development and Human Resources a campus-wide webinar with Shola Richards presenting his highly inspiring flagship keynote “Go Together — The Keys to Change How You Live, Work, and Lead” for 165 registrants. The USF faculty and staff listened to Shola’s talk on the importance of kindness and civility in the workplace, self-affirmation and how we treat others with trust, compassion, respect, and positivity. Using personal and inspiring anecdotes, he shared an impactful insight of Ubuntu “I am because we are” aligning with USF’s core value of cura personalis “care for the whole person”, being people who care for others, and on a shared commitment to diversity. We have the power to make a difference for ourselves, for the community, and for the world. Attendees reported feeling inspired by Shola’s enthusiastic presentation as well as reinvigorated to truly realize USF’s Mission and Vision.
