One of the most historically significant event was when the United Arab Emirates discovered oil in 1958 and how they joined states a few years later. At that point of time UAE was just made out of many different villages.

Nowadays a popular place you may know in the UAE is called Dubai at that time all the seven emirates were divided and nearly 15 years later joined and decided to name the country UAE and naming its capital city Abu Dhabi. No one expected such rapid growth as UAE became one of the most popular places to go visit as they had built a whole modern city on top of a desert in just 50 years.

Each state in the UAE had it’s own ruler but an over all ruler had to be appointed at the time and Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan was appointed to rule over the country as he was the one who convinced all seven states to create what is now know as the United Arab Emirates.

So what does my family structure look like? Let me tell you it’s not too complicated but has been based through traditional and religious thoughts. In my family everyone who has married someone has had a arranged marriage and which is a concept that has been shown in today’s reading . Most of my family are pretty chilled out and modern though they allow me to make my own decision but in my family my dad usually makes a lot of the important decisions but my mom is also involved in those decisions. My family is probably what you would call a modern Indian/Arab family.

  • In the first point I should have used a better thesis stating how both authors use different but similar ways to describe their poverty.
  • Another thing that I should’ve have added were a few more outside resources.
  • My transitions should have been a little more creative as I only used a basic one.
  • I used in text citations but not all over the essay which is one more thing I should’ve done.

As I read my peer Ivan’s essay I noticed a few common things such as how he mentions the emotions and problems the author might have felt as he was growing up. He also talks about how understanding the Chinese history very important to which I agree with him as most of us do not know what has happened in China and another key thing that he used was pathos which I found to be unique and haven’t seen in most people’s essays.

The video has good affects such as: good music that underlines her words, atmosphere and meaning of her words; effective pictures that also effect our emotions; adorable and innocent stuff that she is using in her essay in order to say what is she kind of a person and what does she live for because the best moments in our life, that’s a thing what we live for.

We liked this video and we think it is perfect and we have no concerns to it. The pictures, videos, music and transactions between them are perfect.

After reading the essay prompt I think these three are the most compelling features of the video essay. First I think talking about each ones major is interesting as those who do not know what major to choose might be interested in one of the major’s another student is doing and is able to understand fully about the major after the video essay.Another key feature of this essay is the fact that one person may be able to improve his/her writing and learn different techniques on how to build a video essay. Three things that are required for the essay are sources, be clear and uses effective ways to show your essay, and at last make an outline.
