Feb 1: Meaning of Name

My full name is Izabella Lee Lee Williams.

My name is Hebrew and means ¨God is my oath¨, it is also a variant of the name Isabel and Elizabeth. My parents and family are not religious. My mom wanted to name me Isabella but thought it should be more unique so switched the ¨s¨ to a ¨z¨. My middle name is inspired by my great grandmother (on my mother´s side) Velva Lee. The last Williams is of Irish/Scottish/Welsh origin, which is fitting because my dad is Scottish-Irish. When I was little I would only go by ¨Bella¨ because people would always spell my name incorrectly (with a ¨s¨ instead of a ¨z¨), also Izabella felt too grown up for me. All of my friends and family still call me Bella, but now in a more professional setting, like class/work, I go by Izabella. I have never changed my name. At home I only speak English, I am currently learning Spanish. I do not feel that I have ever been ridiculed for the way I speak or write.
