Hi, I’m Kodai Yamamoto (he/ him/ his). A lot of my friends call me Kodai. This is my second semester and I am majoring in international business. I am currently at my home in Japan. There is nothing really special about my hometown since I think there is nothing interesting. But it is a chill place.  I’m happy to see all of you guys!

In my past classes, I have written a bunch of essays and other kinds of writings and learned how to format and structure them in order to create more academic writings. Since I have been learning writing skills from high school, I have a lot of experience in writing. But I still hate composing long pieces like research papers. I always struggle with starting up writing. I sometimes spend almost a day coming up with the best to start with. Though, after having a clear vision of what to write, everything else would be mostly smooth.
I am looking forward to improving my skills in word choices and paragraph coherency. I believe these are the biggest challenges I have right now for academic writings. In order to do so, knowing more vocabularies could be one of the ways and this allows me to use more variety of words and the sentences would not look like repeating. I will put the best of my effort into this class to create an effective environment for learning.
