Ways to Give and Feel Good

In this holiday season, consider giving back to the community! Scientists have found that it’s good for you to do an act of kindness for someone else. Research has discovered that our brains release neurotransmitters that make us feel good when we do good.  In this week’s blog, we surveyed our Engage San Francisco community partners in the Fillmore District / Western Addition and compiled a list of ways to give. Please find one way that fits your own level of time, treasure and talent. It feels good!

Ella Hill Hutch Community Center

Give a gift for our teenagers here at Ella Hill.  Gifts like portable chargers, skin care products, water bottles, wallets, phone cases and pajama pants would be perfect for that age. Also you can’t go wrong with a visa gift card. They know how to spend money.

Give a toy for the toy giveaway that we do every year for ages 5+. The Center will be closed Dec. 17th through Christmas so we would need them before 12/17.
