James Salazar ’21 and Melanie Velasquez ’21 wrote a cover story about Bay Area Olympic Athletes for the SF Examiner.

Gabriel Greschler ’19 started last fall as the beat reporter covering Santa Clara County and Milpitas for the San Jose Mercury News.

Rory Brown ’05 started as group vice president for content and media at Lovevery in 2021.

This magazine features some of the best work by students of the University of San Francisco’s Department of Media Studies.  Our department offers students a liberal arts-based program in media analysis and media production. Combining theory and practice, students learn how to analyze, deconstruct, and critique media texts and institutions and how to create, share, and collaborate using various forms of media. This magazine showcases the best examples of student work produced for classes in the department.
