I think that individual conferences directly relate to USF’s holistic approach to education!

For this individual conference, I was kind of in a rush because I was flying out to Seattle an hour or so after the conference time so I was trying my best to be “all there” mentally during the conference. I think that this conference did go well though because Professor Hunt and I got to talking about veganism which is always a plus for me! For this next speech, I decided to talk about veganism some facts about veganism. I think I am going to tie in the aspect of “Evidence,” which is the theme of this module, into my speech by talking about how the evidence I found convinced me to go vegan and how that has made my conscious clearer these days. I plan on tying in bicycling and the content we were assigned in class by talking about a few of the articles we were assigned to read, especially the one that talks about “Why We Drive the Way We Do” and “Citing Evidence in Speeches.” For the bicycling aspect, I am going to talk about a vegan cyclist named David Zabriskie who has rode the Tour de France as a vegan athlete. I hope this speech can inspire the class to look into veganism and all of its benefits!
