Airport Police riding bicycles to get around the different airport terminals!

Coming back from Fall Break, I saw an aspect of bicycling that I haven’t before! At SEATAC, otherwise known as the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, I saw a few police officers biking around the airport, using bikes as their means of transportation. Seeing these Police biking around in the airport because it was so interesting to me. Given all of the electric 4-wheel cars and carts the airport has, these police officers chose to use man-powered bicycles to get around. Now thinking about it, I can see a lot of benefits that come with choosing bicycles as your means of transportation as an airport security guard. Not only can you control the speed that you go in an instant, but you can often beat the speed of many other airport transportation vehicles and rapidly chase problems that arise, faster than you would using those cars or carts. You also get a great workout and become an advocate for biking!
