In my opinion, there is no relationship between work and social class but rather a relationship between work and work ethic. Nonetheless, there is a current stereotype correlating manual labor positions to those unable to attend college or receive an education. I believe this stems from our society’s belief in the need for a college education in order to succeed in the workforce. However, there have been many success stories within the workforce regarding people who come from low-income communities that don’t appear to be the result of just a lucky of situation, but rather through the origin of these success being the attitude possessed by the individual. This is something applicable to any person.
