This morning at approximately 9:15 AM, I witnessed an attempted bike robbery right outside of the front doors of the Hayes-Healey Dormitory here in the USF campus. Luckily, the bike owner had secured their bike with not one, but two ‘U-locks’, one of which the thieves didn’t seem to notice. When they cut one of the locks and tried to run off with the bike, the other lock held the bike onto the rail. By this point, the robbery was calling attention and the thief got scared and ran away. However, I did manage to get some pictures of the bike and the compromised lock. Long story short: THERE ARE CRIMINALS AMONG US.
