I read Jash’s response to the essay titled “Global Digital Divide”. I thought he did a great job describing what aspects of the writing he liked, and I had very similar thoughts to his. His focus on the timeline and how it influenced the context of the essay was a great take. His view on the title of the essay was very interesting, but I don’t think that the proposed title change fits the coming of age theme either. This being said, I hadn’t even thought about the title before reading Jash’s response. I now realize what an crucial aspect of the writing to look rhetorically at the title is. I’d really like to have gotten more details about why he felt this title change was necessary, as I think it was a very niche aspect to focus on.
