USF Sacramento Caring Professionals Symposium

On May 5th, USF Sacramento held it’s 1st Symposium for Caring Professionals! Students, Faculty and Staff from all programs were encouraged to come and hear guest speakers talk about self-care while working in a caring profession. Attendees choose from workshops on PTSD with Gregory Elie, Trauma Trauma Trauma with Gibran Mendez, Running on Empty with Tonya Semas, Imagery with Jodi Kushner, and Assessment for Suicide with Christine Tippett; as well as hearing from our amazing key note speaker Artur Akkerman. The day was filled with valuable information, goodie bags, iPad raffles, fantastic food, and more! A special thank you to our guest speakers, program coordinators, program directors and campus staff for making this event a success!
