Two of these handsome bikes were found on craigslist by USF bicycle guru J. McDermott and passed along for use by COMS 195 students and members of the USF Cycling Club.
These aluminum-frame road bikes are great for longer rides — over the Golden Gate Bridge and into Marin County, or down the peninsula to Palo Alto or Mountain View. They’re lightweight (under 22 and 22.5 pounds) and equipped with early 7-speed Shimano “brifters” (integrated brake lever and shifters).
The smaller bike is best suited to a rider between 5’3″ and 5’6″ tall. The larger bike is best suited to a rider between 5’9″ and 6’0″ tall.
