by K.R. Morrison —
When he speaks
Diego murals
summon an altar of lips
she basements inside bruised ears
In her heart’s attic
she listens and collects
fresh thoughts falling, searing
cobwebs off Trotsky red
Love graffiti’s rawboned eyes
irises green dismiss what’s grey
her naked mind imbrued
moon blue, electrified.
K.R. Morrison teaches English Literature and Creative Writing to high school students in San Francisco, CA. Writing for many years, she now reads her work at poetry events in the Bay Area. She’s currently working on a poetry collection entitled, From Her Wrist.
