1986 – Boston College

Initially referred to as the Conference of Computer Center Directors, this was the first meeting of what became the Conference on Information Technology Management.  Attendance was excellent; representatives from 17 of the 28 AJCU schools attended. Attendees spent considerable time becoming acquainted with each other and learning more about their fellow AJCU institutions.  They discussed the topics they felt were of primary importance: strategic planning, microcomputers, and networking; and, they collaborated on the details to formalize the organization and receive official recognition by the AJCU.
