Fifty-seven attendees from 25 AJCU schools — including six representatives of AUSJAL schools — and Fr. Currie from ACJU headquarters met at University of Scranton in 1998 for a joint meeting of Library Deans and CITM members. Topics of concern included web development in the newly public Internet world; organizational models for IT and Libraries; recruiting, training, and retaining staff; and network access, libraries, and laptops/desktops. Monday evening dinner was at the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre AAA ballpark where the visiting Buffalo Bisons defeated the Red Barons, to the delight of two enthusiastic, long-cheering Buffalo fans.
