The Instruction and Outreach Department has hired three new Outreach Student Assistants to help with the library’s outreach and marketing initiatives. The students will be working on a variety of projects like creating content for Gleeson’s social media, assisting with library events and programs, working on book displays, and more. If you see them around the library, please say hello!
Ana Arias
My name is Ana Arias and I am super excited to be joining the Outreach team! I am from Sacramento, California and am currently a first year student here at USF majoring in Economics. Some of my hobbies include walking my dog (When I am home) and trying new restaurants. Lastly, a fun fact about me is I broke one of the hardest bones to break (my elbow) in second grade. Looking forward to meeting you all!
Courtney Crother
My name is Courtney Crother and I work in student outreach as a social media assistant. I graduated from USF with a BA in design and worked in the library at the reference desk during my undergrad. I missed the library so much during the pandemic and I am very happy to be back! Now I am in the Museum Studies program at USF. I also have another job with SDS as a scribe. In my free time, I like reading, cooking, and going to museums.
Georgina Santillan
Hello! My name is Georgina. I am a Junior this year and I’m majoring in Sociology, while double minoring in Latin American Studies and Spanish Studies. My hobbies are caring for my house plants, learning how to roller skate, playing the piano, and drawing! Fun fact: I’m vegan, so if you’re looking for some good plant-based restaurants, I’ve got you!
Come see the Banned Books Week display (27 September – 1 October)! Ana and Georgina made great contributions to it!!
