I want to talk about the health problem that students are having now, with some possible solutions. In my country students usually don’t have enough exercise because they have to spend more time studying. At the same time, they have to take an exam every time when they are going to graduate, and the result is even connected with their final grade. The main problem is that most of the people don’t know the importance of exercise and they don’t have time to exercise.

I’m in the group with Ori. In our post, we both talked about how is the author been racially discriminated. We talked about how he lived with his siblings, without a father. And his life is so hard that he can’t even get enough food. And once when there is an active to pledge money in the chest. Everyone else got some money from him, except him. However, he still collected a lot of money, which is way more than others’. But his teacher refused to take it and told everyone else he doesn’t have a father. That’s a huge shame and he still remembers it well until now.

In my opinion, one of the most influential events in my country was the Destruction of opium at Humen. Began from 1800, selling drugs in China became illegal. However, there were still a lot of smugglers trying to sell drugs to China. Finally in 1839, after collecting drugs from all over the country, Lin Ze Xu and his group transport to Chuanbi Island, which is close to the Shajiao Fort outside  Humen Town. After encircling the site with a bamboo fence to prevent theft, three stone pits, lined with wood, were dug into which was poured the seized opium along with lime and salt. The residue was then flushed through a channel into the South China Sea. The work commenced on 3 June 1839 and took a total of 23 days. This event lay the foundation for preventing drugs in China. It also triggers the first world war.

I read about Abby’s response. We both talked about the importance of being prepared for your speech. For example, you have to know what you want to inform your audience. Do you want to make them act or do you want to share some ideas. Then you have to know how to present your speech. For example, what kind of material or video you have to prepare before the speech. During the speech, you have to take some action in order to inform your audience that this part is very important. For example, sometimes you have to use gestures or a strong tone to grab audiences’ attention. Then you can finally build your argument easily.

I’m with Aditya Kumar and Jie Shi. We talked about how important it is to have a strong introduction to the topic. The authors give a powerful introduction with a lot of details. Sometimes they also show pictures or videos, which gives a lot of important information to the audience and grabs their attention.
