The Home School Connection

After reading the article The Beginners’ Guide to Connecting Home and School By Tabitha Dell’Angelo gave five necessary steps for engaging students to help their children with education for at-home activities and in-class participation to help them understand and foster the use of academic successes. Having children understand the concept and relationships between home and school would help foster a new idea of children constantly learning no matter what environment they are in. I really like how the author asks parents 3 questions on how. How will the students benefit from this project, how will parents benefit from the project and how will the teacher benefit from this project. Having a full circle with education is important in the classroom.

To get students, teachers and even their parents engaged in their child’s learning. It shows that the interest in a students education greatly improves the student’s output on their academics throughout their career in school. Encouraging life lessons and teachable moments help the student retain the materials they have learned in their project. I believe that having something relatable for students to go back to helps their memory and encourages them to take upon challenges that they might face in the future.
