October 26: In-class writing

I’ve read Jelo’s response and found out that we both talk about the differences between the two girls and their grandmother. We both provided examples as pieces of evidence; however, we chose differently. After reading the essay, Jelo thinks that Marylin is trying to prove a point that being different in ethnic backgrounds and it doesn’t prevent you from making a connection with others. In contrast, I think the essay was trying to prove the different points of view based on the difference in ethnic backgrounds and generations.

Comparing this to traditional writings. The essay was written in limited English but people still can understand its meaning. Multilingual writing would cover more content and have a diversity of vocabulary comparing to traditional ones.
