Listening to George Carlin gave me a strong thought of what is even considered a bad word and who thought it. There are so many words in the English language and it is wild to believe that one word is a bad word because somebody brashly decided upon it. Bad words do get tricky though when it comes to social slurs. Social slurs are a clump of hate or sometimes ignorance most of the time. Social slurs definitely are not meant to fit in with the same category as the s-word. Words like the f-word can be completely harmless and used to further express an emotion. George Carlin really dives into try to understand why those 7 words are the bad ones out of a bunch of 400,000. Carlin’s young and rebel attitude is something that I enjoy listening to and have to check out some more.
