Printing from a Mac

Installing the Printing Driver

  1. Download the appropriate Xerox’s Pharos Challenge driver:
  2. For 10.7 and above
    1. When you are sent to the google drive, click on the USFPharos.pkg.zip**
    2. Click on Download, then Download Anyway.
    3. When the file downloads it should be a USFPharos03_Xerox.pkg** file.
    4. Click on it.
    5. Your Mac should says “USFPharos.pkg** can’t be opened because it its from an unidentified developer.”
    6. Press command + space and type ‘Security & Privacy’ then hit enter
    7. Click on the lock in the bottom left and enter your computers sign in password
    8. Next to the “USFPharos.pkg** was blocked…” click on Open Anyway
    9. A popup with the package will show up, click on Open
    10. Go back to your downloads and open and run the USFPharos03_Xerox.pkg** file again
    11. Follow the onscreen instructions
  3. For 10.6 and below
    1. In your downloads click on the USFXerox.dmg** and open it
    2. Open the Popup.pkg file
    3. Press Continue and follow the on screen instructions

Now in your printer settings you will see that USF Xerox Secure Print P2** has been added to your print list. This means you have installed the driver successfully.

Press command+space and type ‘Printers & Scanners’ to go to your Mac’s printer settings.

Printing

  1. When printing, select the USF Xerox Secure Print P2** as your printer
  2. You will the Print Jobs Details popup appear on your screen.
  3. Enter your USF Username into the text bar and hit Next
  4. Now enter your USF password into the text bar and hit Print
  5. Click here for instructions at the Xerox
