In Yook’s essay “Positive Stereotypes Are Hurtful, Too”, she talks about the issue of prejudice about Asian with some examples which show how Asian used to be looked like. I totally agree with her idea that people always have the stereotypes which Asian is smart, but people never see how hard work we are. Such as Yook said that even this is not a negative judgement; this positive stereotypes also makes misunderstanding of Asian. At the end, I would like to say that just like chinese students always be thinked of richness, so many people may think chinese students don’t care the money; all the stereotypes will make bad feeling whether these stereotypes are positive or negative.

In fact I don’t know what should I write now, or what I want to write about. I just follow what’s Tika said, and writing something firstly. Most of my classmate in this class is chinese, and there also many students like us who from other countries instead of America will have to pass this class because of the lack of language. In other words, an American doesn’t need this class because they don’t need practice their first language—English. But this rhetoric course may help our international students a lot. And after we finished this class, then when we take other professional course will not be too difficult for us and we won’t feel confusing just because we cannot understand what the professor is saying. If we cannot listen the professor’s word clearly, we will not able to understand the knowledge.
