Introduction

I am an associate professor of Rhetoric and Language at the University of San Francisco. I teach undergraduate and graduate courses on rhetoric, composition, and cross-cultural communication. My research focuses on language and literacy practices of refugees in the U.S., more specifically, the literacy practices of Bhutanese refugees. In addition to teaching and conducting research, I am also engaged in social activities in the East Bay, mostly working with refugees and South Asian immigrants. I also love to play tennis, sing, and practice yoga and meditation. I love a little more chilly weather, and coastal part of the East Bay is a perfect location for me to stay and walk around.
