At the meeting, I had a fair idea of what it was going to consist of but after reading the posters and talking with some members of the project I learned of 2 options for the remodeling. I entered the presentation room and the first section I read were the One and Two Lane project proposal. At first glance, I thought the One Lane Project proposal was the better option but after revisiting the section and talking with a member I noticed the benefits to the Two-Lane project proposal. After learning that Two lane reduced automobile contact, stops, cost and still have a view of the water no matter what way the commuter is going, I noticed that most of the members if the project preferred Two Lane and they were persuasive in their talk as to why Two Lane is the better option and I agree with them. In my opinion, Lane Two is the better option for achieving Vision Zero since it is the option with the most minimal contact with automobiles.
As for my S4 topic ideas, I’m still brainstorming on whether to do option 1 or 3. I still sort of want to continue the theme of incorporating bicycles into the Project but I don’t have an advocacy idea in mind yet.
