- Three Types of Sentences Structures: Simple, Compound, and Complex
- Simple sentences have one subject and one verb; compound subjects and/or compound verbs are used occasionally.
- Coordination conjunctions connect two or more independent clauses in compound sentences (e.g., For, And Nor, But, Or, Yet, So).
- Complex sentences connect two clauses: an independent clause and a dependent clause.
- The dependent clause can be placed at the beginning or end of the sentence, as long as it is separated from the independent clause by a comma.
