The 2006 meeting at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, was a joint meeting with the Library Deans. Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans only eight months prior to the meeting, so disaster planning was on everyone’s mind. Bret Jacobs and Mary Lee Sweat from Loyola University New Orleans presented one of the plenary sessions: New Orleans Disaster Recovery. Total attendance was 96, including Jaime Reinoso from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Cali, Colombia, and Richard Vigilante from the AJCU headquarters in Washington, D.C.
