In spring of 1992, 23 IT professionals representing 19 of the 28 AJCU institutions, three representatives from Latin American schools (Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and Universidad Centroamericana in San Salvador), and 70,000 of their closest friends in town for the famous Bloomsday Run gathered in Spokane, Washington for the seventh CITM meeting hosted by Gonzaga University. Hot topics were networks and network security, campus-wide email, and Campus-Wide Information Systems (those Web forerunners featuring Archie and Gopher servers). The bylaws were modified again and the organization took on its current name, Conference of Information Technology Managers (CITM). The conference dinner, on the lake in Couer D’Alene, included a sinful chocolate box dessert!
