2013 – Loyola University Chicago

In 2013, the Conference on Information Technology Management returned to its early roots at LUC for its 28th annual conference. Previously, LUC hosted the 2nd conference in 1987. Twenty-five schools were represented by 84 attendees, plus two representatives from JesuitNET and one each from ITESO (Guadalajara) and the Loyola Institute for Spirituality.

Sessions on Monday and Tuesday were held at the Lake Shore Campus and moved to the Water Tower Campus for Wednesday.  The theme of technology trends tied together sessions on strategic planning, security challenges, institutional portals, AJCU collaboration, mobile learning, federated IDs, and social media trends.  Significant time was spent on the progress made by the workgroups on Communications and Collaboration, Mentoring, Project Management, and Shared Services.

The conference dinner Tuesday evening at Mike Ditka’s Chicago Restaurant was particularly spirited and lively.  The conference closed with a noon session on Wednesday to officially launch the AJCU-CITM History Project.
