Before committing to USF, I had only been to San Francisco once–and that was to visit the school! So, these three weeks in the city have definitely been filled with exploring. So far I’ve visited streets like Haight, been to a Giants game, and gone out to eat all over the city. But, I think one of my favorite places that I have visited so far is, Golden Gate Park.
The first time I went to Golden Gate Park I was pretty amazed at how big it was. Golden Gate Park was definitely one of the biggest parks I have ever been to, way bigger than any park in Los Angeles. While I was walking around inside, I felt like it was never-ending.
So far, I have visited BBQ pits around the park, seen the buffalo and bison, and gone flower watching. I also got to walk through an Opera performance last Saturday morning. I am still amazed at the things Golden Gate Park has to offer, it has so much to do!
I still need to check out some of the museums from within and I also have a ton of sight seeing to do still. The park is so nice that my roommate and I have decided to walk around the park at least once every weekend morning! I think we will probably head to the Japanese Tear Gardens this week!
