MPH Students Take Over Instagram

Three current MPH students, Katie Dennison, Kelsey Green, and Roxane Scherek, took over SONHP’s Instagram to celebrate National Public Health Week.
These students are taking MPH 622 Health Behavior Theory and Communication this spring with Professor Kelly L’Engle and, within the class, developed four infographics on: Community, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Mental Health, and Food and Nutrition.
Community: Learn about how healthy communities lead to healthy lives and ways you can get involved!
Sexual and Reproductive Health: USF SONHP stand with the APHA’s initiative to focus on the importance of reproductive and sexual health.
Mental Health: Through these infographics, learn what mental health is and how it can affect us, who is being impacted, and how we can make a difference.
Food and Nutrition: learn about food insecurity and how it affects our community. YOU can be an advocate.
More coming: The students are writing Blog Posts about their behavior change attempts to exercise or change eating habits. These are shaping up marvelously, full of practical tips (say “I do” to a workout crew; focus on your successes and set up a reward system) and catchy titles (Mind over matter: A guide for tackling behavior change and increasing physical activity for busy young adults).
Check Instagram for all of the Infographics and postings.
