Difference: After I read the Pranay Prasad’s response, she takes example by contrasting and criticizing of the current national anthem “Star-Spangled Banner with “Lean on Me”, because the  “language of current national anthem is overly ornate and difficult to understand, its score is too British，which means author use logical reason to try to persuade the audience. • start of the women’s suffrage movement b/c women didn’t have full rights of citizenship or the right to vote 

Issues: 

• fighting for equality of all men and women 
  • idea that women should also have equal rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness 
  • educational opportunities, labor issues, property rights, right to vote 
• women were oppressed 

Purpose: 

• Convince the US that women deserve equal rights
• Empower women to push for their right to citizenship in the United States
• Argue that women have been oppressed by the government
