The writing style in the U.S. context is significantly different from the U.K. Context. I learned the writing in my undergraduate was  American style.  So when I went to study in the U.K., I have to adjust myself to fit the culture of U.K. academic circumstance.  Vocabulary and  spelling are the examples such as organisation and organization, chips and fries, colour and color, lift and elevator.
