The community can make me feel like home is another idea of placemaking (Jayewardene, 2016, p. 119).  When I studied for a Master degree in the U.K., I met Thai communities who grouped together to establish a Thai temple in Leeds city.  They conducted many Thai cultural events there and they will bring Thai foods to share.  Food is one of the key ideas that can make you feel like home in a new city.
